The weekend just gone was supposed to be one of relaxation and winding down.
It was actually chaos.
Not chaos as in panic and never ending unease but downright fun and enjoyment.
It’s just that enjoyment didn’t exactly cease.
We were blessed with a cyclone that produced long range, quality ocean swell and it made for pretty much pumping conditions across northern NSW and south east Queensland.
Chafe, burnt skin and exhausted shoulders was a result.
A great result I may add.
I loved every minute of it and I was blessed to have enjoyed one of the best rides of my life.
Hours of preparation, thousands of strokes paddling and endless complaints of burnt skin were all worth that single individual wave.
No idea why we do these things to ourselves but sometimes they all culminate into an unforgettable memory.
