#59.0 Out of the box

What does out of the box mean?

When someone says I’d like to buy a simple software package or a solution that fixes my issues, I just want something “out of the box”.

What is meant by this?

What is the context of the question being asked?

Out of the box can be referred to as something being in a simple, standard and original state.

It represents a product or service, that can be easily duplicated and is not by any means complex.

Through the term, it literally is explaining that the item comes ready to go straight out of the box.

There are no modifications, improvements or fine tuning required.

It can be utilised “as is”.
