A goofy footer is a surfer who’s feet are placed with their left foot at the back of board over the fins, from direction of travel and the right foot on the middle front of the board.
When riding frontside to the wave (going left) their body faces towards the wave down the line, with the breaking section of the wave behind them or to their right from the direction they are travelling.
