#103.0 24 hour time format

Every clock, watch, computer, or phone I’ve ever owned I’ve done the following –

Once purchased or obtained, the first thing I do is change the time format to 24 hour time.

Ever since I experienced what it’s like to work shift work, and in particular night shifts, I have always used the universal 24 hour time format.

That main reason being when my alarm went off or I awoke naturally whilst sleeping abnormal hours of the day, I could instantly look at my watch or digital clock and know exactly what time of day it was.

Obviously, you know with normal format as well, but it’s the clean cut view that’s it’s 18 30 in the evening for example, is just deeply satisfying.

It’s quite uncomfortable for me to read the time in standard AM / PM state now.

Another subconscious thought may be that it makes me feel like I’m part of the military service without actually serving.

The wonders of the subconscious mind.
