#126.0 Losing a loved one – using time to heal

In the coming week I’ll be attending my first funeral as an adult.

It’s both fortunate and unfortunate.

  • Fortunate that I haven’t lost a close loved one for many years.
  • Unfortunate due to the loss of life we have recently experienced.

This event has forced me to become more present on how everyone grieves differently to such a circumstance.

During this time I’ve noticed time is what heals all wounds.

Although only a short time, I’ve identified that this is universal across death, relationships and events.

For each person their definition of time for these wounds to repair themselves may be a week, a month, a year, a lifetime or possibly never.

It’s all to do with the enormity of the loss.
