#140.0 Looking up at the stars

Irrespective of what is unfolding around you in your life, it pays to be humbled every now and then.

If all things are getting a little too much, looking up at the night sky before bed and absorbing the stars that cover the sky, can mesmerise even the most overwhelmed person.

It reinforces just how insignificant we (as human beings) truly are in an infinitesimally large galaxy and an even more expansive universe.

The light we see coming from stars in the night sky, is almost always overlooked, as that light has had to travel millions, if not billions, of kilometres to enter our atmosphere and be absorbed into our retina in that exact moment.

Probably from a burning star that 1, doesn’t exist anymore as it’s died, and 2, was so large it can’t even be put on a scale in comparison to our close solar system.

Don’t overthink a small problem in your life as it is unbelievably insignificant to the greater existence of life in the universe.
