Working at a butcher throughout the later teenage years of my life in high school, I would find myself listening to the local pop radio in the back of the shop whilst doing the daily clean.
Without fail throughout 2012, the song Ho Hey by The Lumineers would play every afternoon.
Last Sunday night I went to see them live at a concert in Brisbane and when they played the famous song, it flooded me with many memories of singing my lungs out.
Hopefully no customers heard me because they would have been upset at my shocking voice.
I find it interesting that our brains have the ability to make us feel exactly like I did in that very moment over 10 years ago.
Reliving the emotion and dopamine of that time.
