Why would anyone want to have a cold shower?
Why would you want to have a cold shower after waking up in the morning, getting ready for work.
I’ve been doing this practice for well over 2 months now and it’s absolutely become second nature.
It’s almost like I’ve forgotten that we actually have a hot water system.
The reason I do it is because of not even the physical factor but because of the pure mental strength that comes about it.
Yes of course the water comes out of the tap at quite an uncomfortable temperature and shocks your skin instantly, but it’s not for that.
It’s to teach me how be comfortable in rather uncomfortable situations.
I’ll say that again.
It’s to become comfortable in what the average person refers to as uncomfortable.
This is applicable to everything we do in our daily lives.
Get used to being comfortable in any uncomfortable situation.
Whether it be conversations with your boss at work, physically gruesome training regimes and emotionally taxing circumstances like the death of a close family member.
Whatever it might be, I feel like when you move towards the things that we don’t like doing, we’re actually moving towards the true purpose of what we should be doing.
The more uncomfortable, the more accurate the compass points us in the right direction.
Fair and simple.
