Don’t be so tough on yourself.
Sleep in for once.
I’m always beating myself up mentally for not getting out of bed by 5 am.
Some days you seriously need to let your body get that rest.
It’s one of those many levers in our life that if not “pulled” or initiated, the short term and without forgetting the long term, consequences can be catastrophic.
Something not urgent but important may become oh so critical in a couple of decades.
This isn’t a “get out of jail free card” either.
Set your routine, stick by it and execute what it is you’re chasing.
Just every now and then, have breakfast in bed.
I’ve had to learn this the hard way.
Training too hard, too quickly and paying the physical price days and weeks after.
But going too hard now, you’re sacrificing the long term improvements.
Remember, refinement improvement take time.
Get after it.
