#8.0 Successful Daily Habits and Routines


After being on this earth for just over 25 years now, I have determined a few habits and routines that have served me well and I thought I would share them.

Hope it helps.

  1. Get up early (preferably by 5.30am and exercise)
  2. Give 100% to anything and everything that I do whilst awake, do my absolute best and nothing less
  3. Read an educational book (or similar) for minimum 15 minutes before going to sleep
  4. Smile
  5. Growth mindset (never a fixed mindset)
  6. Put phone on silent mode (do not disturb) with no notifications after I eat dinner (digitally disconnect)
  7. Write a minimum of 100 words for my website for a post or article
  8. Post minimum of 1 piece of content onto any form of social media
  9. Walk minimum 10,000 steps
  10. Exercise for minimum 30 minutes (any form of exercise, swimming, running, weights, surfing, walking, cycling, circuits etc)
  11. Meditate for minimum 10 minutes (either in the morning or at night before bed after reading)
  12. Eat a healthy breakfast
  13. Have a cup of green tea
  14. Drink minimum 2 litres of water
  15. If practical go for minimum 1 swim in the ocean
  16. Sleep for minimum 7 hours
  17. Kiss my partner and say I love you at least once
  18. Reflect on at least one thing I’m grateful for
  19. Brush my teeth in the morning after breakfast and at night before bed
  20. Floss my teeth minimum once (at night before bed)
  21. Do minimum one act of kindness in any shape or form (gift, compliment, help, act of service, etc)
  22. Get minimum 30 minutes of direct sunlight exposure
  23. Listen to minimum 10 minutes of an informative podcast
  24. Get minimum of 3 servings of fruit and vegetables
  25. Get minimum 1 gram protein per pound of body weight (recommended intake is 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight)
  26. Have a cold shower

DISCLAIMER – At the end of the day we are all human and I can honestly say that I am very disciplined in ensuring that every single habit above is acheived. However, sometimes life gets in the way and circumstances outside of our control can limit me acheiving some of these every single day.

(So please understand that these are my personal targets and I have solid attempt everyday).
